About Coastal Cement Studio
A Vancouver Island microcement studio focused on thoughtful planning, finish direction, and clear project scope.
How Projects Are Approached
Coastal Cement Studio helps clients explore continuous cement-look finishes for floors, bathrooms, fireplaces, and feature walls. The first conversation is about the room, existing surface, intended use, finish direction, and project location.
Microcement is a layered finish, so the visible colour and texture are only part of the plan. Surface stability, preparation, moisture exposure, edges, transitions, compatible products, cure time, and maintenance all influence whether a proposed application makes sense.
Before work is scheduled, the finish direction and scope should be clear: what is included, what other trades must complete, what sample is being approved, and what site conditions could change the plan. Availability and travel are confirmed individually for each Vancouver Island inquiry.
Our Values
Suitable Systems
Product selection, preparation, reinforcement, finish coats, sealer, and cure time are matched to the accepted surface and use.
Sample-Led Decisions
Colour, texture, movement, and sheen are easier to judge from a physical sample viewed with the surrounding finishes and light.
Clear Scope
Project responsibilities, assumptions, exclusions, preparation, access, timing, and changes should be documented before work begins.
Project Locations
Vancouver Island inquiries are welcome. Location, travel time, scope, schedule, and site access are reviewed before availability is confirmed. The communities below are common inquiry areas, not an automatic service promise.
